Apple's 5th Australian store and the 2nd in Melbourne opened on Saturday morning at Westfield Doncaster to the usual fanfare and cult-like invasion by Apple nerds across the state. A couple of MacTalkers (matthewlesh, matt11, mattydee and neg2led) were at the front of the line, camping out in the center overnight, then*triumphantly enforcing their geek cred,*entering the store first.*Approximately*300 people were lined up by 9AM. Everyone scored their t-shirts, played around on the Macs, pawed some iPhones or iPods and said "this is a cool shop" then left. Some probably even purchased stuff. There's loads of photos and videos from the opening in this thread on our forums.
