Operating System for Power Mac G4

Not that much different apart from some nicer graphical bells and whistles, and both are very obsolete Tiger would be the sweet spot for this machine

G4/G5 Usability (aka Tell Me To Toss Them To The Collectors)

    Hi cosmic,

For security/better software/faster/cheaper to run personally I'd find a free/cheap Core2Duo machine for your son, install Windows

    Mac mini - which webcam?

Generic ones sold on eBay as OS X compatible work out of the box - go Logitech though if you are seeking better quality video.
