• Apple vs. Woolworths in the Battle of the Fruit Shaped Logo

    woolies

Yep, you read that right - Apple, the fruit company we all love, are taking Australian Woolworths, the company that sells actual fruit, to court, because their new styled W that looks like an apple, looks too much like Apple's apple and the fact that Woolworths slaps their logo on anything, could one day lead to a Woolworths branded computer. The Age has the full report.

Apparently, less than 5% of these actual claims make it to court, so it could just be a nothing situation, but it's interesting none the less, as it involves a relatively large Australian company. (cheers to Donnie Darko on the forums for the heads up on this story)
