It seems Apple is at last catching up on its backorders of the Apple Watch with 9to5Mac reporting that Apple has confirmed that all orders, with one exception, placed in May will ship within two weeks. The one big exception to that timeline is the 42 mm Space Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet. Apple has also confirmed that around that time they will begin

We mentioned yesterday that Apple is not expected to unveil its new streaming TV service at WWDC, but at the time there was no mention of what that might mean for the long rumoured Apple TV device update. I did say the two kind of went hand in hand and that if the streaming wasn’t coming at WWDC, it was likely the new device wasn’t either. Well that now has some support with Brian

It has long been expected that Apple would be announcing a new streaming TV service, along with new Apple TV boxes at WWDC. However according to Re/code that will not be case and the new service will not be announced at the conference. Apple is said to have started advising the networks of the delay, due to not all the deals being in place. There is no mention in the story

We mentioned last week about the Message bug that was causing iMessages to crash and iPhones to reboot. Whilst Apple is still working on an official fix, they have posted an official support document with some suggested fixes.

You might recall all the excitement caused by the sightings of the streetview like vans that were linked to Apple. In fact ...

The new 15-inch MacBook Pro has a hidden spec bump that has been revealed via its updated support page. 9to5Mac have noticed the specs confirm that the 15-inch is the first Apple Notebook to support single-stream 4K displays at full resolution and 5K displays (via dual-cable Display port). Speculation is that the move to AMD chips is behind the new ability.

There is really no other place to start the news today than with the iMessage bug that causes the messages app to crash and iPhones to reboot. Apple has acknowledged the issue and indicated it will seek to fix it via a software update, though no timeframe has been given. In the meantime 9to5Mac have some suggestions on how to workaround the issue.

This one is for the wireless geeks out there. 9to5Mac are reporting that in OS 10.10.4 Apple have dropped discoveryd and reverted to the previous methods used in prior versions of OS X. This change has followed from many complaints from developers about the poor networking performance under Yosemite. I know the network share issue identified in the story is something we see on our network ...

Given it was a holiday in the US overnight; you might be forgiven for thinking that there might not be much news around. That is pretty much correct but there is one fairly significant piece of news.

Apple has confirmed in an internal e-mail obtained ...

9to5Mac have continued their reveal of the expected upcoming iOS and OS X updates expected at WWDC. This time their sources are indicating that Apple is limiting new features in favour of a “big focus on quality”. It had previously been reported that this was the case with iOS 9 but the same approach is expected to be used with OS X 10.11. In both cases it seems there will be plenty of under the hood improvements and new security features.

Also on the WWDC front, Apple is expected ...

With WWDC fast approaching attention is beginning to turn to what we might see on the OS front revealed to developers. According to 9to5Mac we will see the new system font from the Apple Watch rolled out across the full Apple range. Now that may excite some, since it seems there is much angst at the use of Helvetica Neue and its focus on clean lines rather than readability.
