The new 15-inch MacBook Pro has a hidden spec bump that has been revealed via its updated support page. 9to5Mac have noticed the specs confirm that the 15-inch is the first Apple Notebook to support single-stream 4K displays at full resolution and 5K displays (via dual-cable Display port). Speculation is that the move to AMD chips is behind the new ability.

Apple has made another acquisition with news that is has acquired the augmented reality company Metaio, who have announced they will stop selling their services. TechCrunch picked up the Apple connection through some German government filings, whilst Apple just gave its standard “Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans”.

It was Google I/O overnight and there was actually a fair bot for Apple users in there. Perhaps the most mainstream was the announcement of Google Photo’s platform that is cross platform and now live on iOS and the Web. Macrumors has taken a deeper look at just what it offers and how it compares to other services, including iCloud.

They have also had a look at the other announcements from Google at I/O. Perhaps most interesting from an Apple perspective was the move from Google Wallet to Google Pay and how that works very similar to Apple Pay.

Apple ended the work with a loss in court with its attempts to get rid of its antitrust monitor being rejected by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. As iMore note however, whilst the court rejected the appeal they did not that some Apple’s allegations “give pause”. Among the more important issues Apple has with him is their allegation that he regularly inspects parts of the company with no relevance to his purpose.

Enjoy your weekend MacTalkers and see you all on Monday!

    Cheers

Using iCloud to backup iPhone 5 and restore to iPhone 6S

To restore iPhone data with data recovery for Windows, if you are used to backup data regularly, you can recover lost or deleted data from iTunes/iCloud
