You might recall the recent lawsuit against apple from the battery maker A123, the latest news on that is that apple has filed a motion to dismiss the case. According to a Macworld report Apple described the case as speculative and therefore the case should be dismissed. The interesting line in the argument is that Apple argues it makes batteries that end up in consumer products, whilst A123 makes batteries for commercial and industrial use and therefore they do not compete in the same market.

If you have been having problems accessing iTunes overnight you are not alone. In fact the problem was so widespread that Apple has issued an apology blaming DNS issues for the problems.

Now that the new MacBook has been revealed the analyst at KGI have turned their mind to how many will Apple sell of the new sleek unit. 9to5Mac report that Ming-Chi Kuo believes that concerns about the price, the single USB-C port and supply chain constraints will slow sales. His call is only around 450k will be sold before WWDC in June.

Kuo has also taken a look at the Apple Watch and believes we might see some new casing options later in the year. Kuo believes this may be needed as sales may slow in the fourth quarter. As a result he believes sales may not meet market expectations. It is believed that Apple was looking at a Platinum in the run up to the Spring Forward event may support that line thunking.

As we now know the new MacBook saw the Force Touch technology from the Apple Watch rolled out onto other devices. Macrumors has picked reports from the Wall Street Journal that indicate Force Touch will also appear on the next iPhone. Along with Force Touch the Journal is also reporting that we may see a new colour added to the range with Pink potentially making a debut.

At least some of the new expected 's' range of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus may well feature Intel LTE chips rather than Qualcomm according to a report at Macrumors. Based on a VenureBeat report, it is claimed Apple will use the chip in some models sold in emerging markets.

Lastly it is time to check in on progress of the Apple 2 campus and as the below photo shows, things are starting to take shape.
