• Monday Morning News

We may not know the price of the high end Apple Watch but we might be able to read something into reports that Apple will outfit its official stores with safes to store them. 9to5Mac also that report that it will also have a special sale process.

Ahead of the launch it seems Apple are leaning on some developers to have their Apple Watch apps ready by mid-February. Macrumors reports that Apple also asked for a key Apple Pay partner to have a iOS application with WatchKit support ready for that time frame also.

Macrumors also has noted that sightings of the Apple Watch in the wild are beginning to pick up as more employees are being used to test the device ahead o launch.

Another week and another update, this time Apple have released iTunes 12.1 with OS X notification center widget among the highlights.

Whilst not used for the morning news everyday, TUAW has been on my go to list to compile the morning news since I took over the duties. So it is rather sad to confirm that reports of its demise have been proved correct. They have confirmed in their own blog post that they will cease publication on 3 February 2015.

Do you know the name Jeff Williams? Don’t worry if you don’t many wouldn’t. However Williams is a vital cog in the success of Apple as the Senior Vice President Operations. As Cult of Mac note in calling him the unsung hero of Apple, Forbes dubbed him “Tim Cooks Tim Cook”.

So with that we head off into another week and enjoy your Monday MacTalkers.

    Cheers
    Shaun
