Macrumors have picked up the fact that iCloud.com Photos app was updated over the weekend. The app picked up a new zoom option in the toolbar. In addition you can now send a photo via e-mail directly from the website.

Also getting an update and actually being rolled out in Australia is Apple Maps for small business. 9to5Mac have picked up the advice sent out to Apple Maps for small business users that the service has been expanded to U.K, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Singapore.

As was suggested yesterday, OS X 10.10.2 has been released to the public. Hit your software updates to grab it. In addition to your mac getting an update, Apple also released iOS 8.1.3, which contains various bug fixes and performance improvements. If you own an Apple TV there is also an update for that, being version 7.0.3.

We will be getting the official Apple results announcement later this morning. In the meantime the third party numbers keep rolling in. This time Re/code reports that data from Canalys suggests that Apple led Q4 smartphone shipments in China. “The company is finally riding the large screen and LTE trends in China, which have been vital to its success,” the Canalys analyst noted.

Today also marks the 5 year anniversary of the launch of iPad by Steve Jobs. Cult of Mac have taken the chance to look back at what the naysayers had to say 5 years ago. Fair to say some people got it very wrong!

We will wrap the news up there and we can now all await the Apple earning announcement later this morning.

Oh and before we go, we need more photos for the morning. So if you have some Apple photos you would like to share head on over to the MacTalk Daily News group at Flickr and add them.
