Hi

What's a good app for recording video of whatever is on screen?
I used to have a great app for this, but I lost it and can't remember the name.

Snapz Pro X is meant to be very good software. I briefly tried the demo once and was very impressed.

Yeh, Snapz Pro X is the best for that. I used it heaps a few months ago. Go to www.versiontracker.com and try it as a 30 day trial.

there's a dashboard widget called Capture, that does it for free ... it's awesome ...

SnapzPro is well worth the money if you do a lot of screen capture video. I uhmed and arred about forking over US$69.00 but I'm so glad I did. It's awsome when you get the hang of all the different settings you can get a 5 minute capture, depending on the screen size you are capturing, under 5Mb.

yeah, i must say, that capture widget is good, can't you just do it all with default keyboard shortcuts anyway?? why install third party widgets / apps when you can use the stuff that's already on your mac and get the same features??
