Well as normal the windows on my machine is all clogged up and machine performance is deteroriating.

Historically I have done a complete reformat and reinstall to do this...

but that was in the days of much smaller computers (I was windows free for 5 years).

I don't really want to backup and restore 90-100gb of stuff.

Can I just reinstall windows? (and not the apps?) or do I have to clean it all and start from scratch?

you can reinstall windows, but if system performance is an issue you may want to consider clean install as reinstallation may not get rid of a lot of the files clogging resources.

Wipe is clean. Reinstall. Needs doing every 6 months or so with Windows IMHO. I've tried all sorts of stuff, nothing helps like a format. :)

There's room in my life for both my Mac and my PC. :)
