I did a search on this forum, and others, with no luck. I would also like to know if it is possible to make VLC my default DVD player. I'm running VLC version 0.9.8, . Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 Firefox/3.6.10

thanks for any help

Thanks Vojtin, I was looking it VLC preference. I guess there isn't a way to turn off Java in Firefox.

Disable it by going to Tools > Add-ons > Plugins, click on the Java-related plugins (I have two) and disable them. Might require a restart of the browser.
