Hey guys, last few days of working on a document i'm getting these error messages..one, click OK and the 2nd one appears. Anyone know what they mean? I've got 35gb of space on HD, how can there be no room to save?

In the second image, the Dock indicates that you have Safari, iTunes, PowerPoint, Preview and Equation Editor all activated as well as Word.

Quit all these other open applications and empty your Trash.

If Quitting and Trashing have no effect on the error message, try:

Saving As... and using a different file name.

Saving As... and using a different location

Saving As... and changing the suffix from .docx to .doc - or from .docx to .rtf (Rich Text Format) as a last resort and then Closing the Document - and then either try to Open the same Document you closed and saving as a .doc, or Quitting Word, shutting down the computer, Power up, activate Word and opening the .rtf.

I'd suggest that you maybe also would do well to set your "File Locations" - check your:

Word - Preferences - file Locations.

Particularly set your "Autorecover files' - I generally make a folder in my "Documents" folder where they go - rather than using some temp folder as it tends to do.

OK, will try it! Thanks guys. I've never had an issue with word, only lately since i've been creating so many equations for this file, and equations kept coming up blurry and closing and re-opening the file. Eventually word converts them to an image and i can't re-edit them to clear them up.

I installed "math type" to see if it makes a difference but i didn't like it so i deleted it. Now the "insert microsoft equation" option is gone from the word, while the math type is still there but clearly it goes nowhere when you click on it. Anyone know how to fix it?

Is Equation Editor truly uninstalled or just removed from the Toolbars?

Try Control-clicking on the Toolbar, and choosing "Customise Toolbars and Menus"

Then find the Equation Editor

and drag it to the Toolbar.

Otherwise you may need to go back to the Office installer and reinstall the Equation Editor from the Installer Disc.
