View Full Version : Asus USB TV Card with OSX?

hi,
just wondering if there is a way i can get my Asus USB TV card to work with OSX? it works with Windows ok, but wondering if EyeTV will just pick it up or if i need to install anything?

The chances are fairly slim. If Asus don't make OSX drivers for it, then see if you can find out what sort of chip it uses, and then check to see if it is a supported chip for the commercial EchoFX (http://www.echofx.com/) driver.

i was thinking of doing the whole bootcamp thing, but if i can get the asus to work in OSX, then i wont need to install the MSVirus onto the mac, but may have too

It might work with eyetv. Why not ask them?

Is it the Asus my-cinema u3000 mini? I have one of those on a pc, i'll plug it into my iMac and try it in eyetv for you.

I tried mine in eyetv without any luck that's not to say it won't work though because I only tried briefly
