Hey guys just got a iMac 27" second hand, its a early 2010 one but that shouldn't matter. I did a big update on it over a 1gig of stuff and then it said it needed to reboot.

It's now been sitting on the default wallpaper with no dialog boxes or anything. It's getting late so I don't want to leave it on the screen all night. Is it safe to turn off or can I try something to 'jump start it'.

It's hasn't reboot at all yet, just shut off finder and gone to this wallpaper.
