Hey all,

I know the compass isn't going to be 100 % accurate, but mine wavers around quite a lot. If I have the maps on and click the orientation arrow in the bottom left corner, the map swings around and usually stops about 30degrees out.

How accurate is yours?

It's been my experience that the compass tends to point northish rolling around between NNW and NNE or sometime greater if you're standing still. As soon as you start moving around though the accuracy shoots up which I'm presuming is a result of it comparing GPS co-ordinates.

Its the shitest thing on the iPhone to be honest. Unless you are standing in a desert completely nude with no "magnetically interfering" objects for 1000 clicks it is next to useless.

Here's a couple of screen dumps from today. First one is the iphone image taken when the car was in motion. The little image is a screen grab from google maps of the same area.
You can clearly see the diff in angles.
Sorry about the image sizes.
