 i just want a cube because of their awesome, sexy, compact design. Purely for the "coolness" factor. I dont want lots of computers!

The appeal?? Small footprint, small, a piece of modern art, amazingly cool and virtually silent. Makes a perfect lowend/home server (EDIT: and uhh... fishtank.....) I use 3 macs (albeit old slow ones > or= 450 MHz). I cannot imagine a situation where I might have only ONE to work with. (EDIT: Depending on what you are doing, I find it is possible (for me) to do far more with, lets say, e.g. 2X450 MHz machines than one @~ 900 MHz. Likewise, there are things I can't do)
Furthermore, life would have less meaning........
Basically, I want one in every room (forget the TV's). I could go on, but for once this post is mercifully short.

I missed out on the whole Cube thing due to an accident.

So its kinda like "The Unicorn" in "Gone In 60 Seconds"

I will always want one, or 4. :)

Steve

P.S. I wish I was buying machines on a weekly basis. If I didn't have two macs, then I would be out of comission due to all my work being on my laptop.

I agree, its nice to have a couple of backup machines, in case something goes majorly wrong. Been there, done that.

DAMNIT! I live in Petersham and I missed that. Always wanted a cube (don't know why exactly).

[Edit]
Maybe I'm just craving that fishtank ;)

That's exactly why I got it. A perfect home server.

It's running a web server right now at home on my shelf:

This is why/how I got it:
