so i was looking on the telstra site, and the phone plans.
the cheapest plan they have for the 3GS is a 60 dollar plan, with 50 bucks worth of calls and 10 worth of data.

Apple iPhone 3GS and Apple iPhone 3G Pricing from Telstra (http://www.telstra.com.au/mobile/phones/iphone/pricing.html)

so is it like pre-paid, you buy browsing packs, or literally you only get 50 bucks worth of calls ?

cheers,
Steve

Should be availabe in store, going after work to try and get one. With the $10 reward on the combo plan (home phone/mobile) will only be $39...

It is for my wife, at $39 it is a good deal. I think the 4G will be obviously higher in price, the 3GS will suit her just fine.

Actually, mine's for my wife too. I wasn't specifically looking for a new phone, but it was costing $40 a month on prepaid and so I figured a new phone for an extra $10 a month wasn't too bad.

Was originally looking at the Family & Friends deal but, based on her usage, the $49 cap is more than suitable.

cool cool,
i was going to jump on the htc desire, but if there is a chance the 4G will be on a 49 plan with an upfront id go that.
Selling my 3G now and will just use a backup phone til the plans are announced.
if they are crap or too exy I will probably just jump on the 3GS on this plan too.
