Apple Online store(Aus) shows 3GS 32G as unavailabe, but 16G is still avbl . . would we get the launch dates soon . . . .? would the negative publicity with the grip impact on US sales and hopefully aus launch ontime ?? :p

Virgin have 16G 3GS for 35 per month at the moment. I'm tempted to only upgrade from a 3G to a 3GS at that price. Most people I know have Virgin mobiles so the low call amount doesn't bother me and I only average 150 mb per month so the 300 mb limit fits.

These were 'out of stock' around 2 weeks ago. Apple simply are depleting stocks from their inventory. Plenty of telcos will still have stock (as is evidence by the lower pricing on them as they too attempt to shift stock before the iPhone 4 is officially launched here).

I wonder how long our market can sustain a complete lack of iPhones for sale if the iPhone 4 delivery date starts to slip - could be a real issue for them, especially if Vodafone makes the Nexus One available promptly.

As I mentioned, not likely to be an issue. Telcos still have stock, and if rumours are to be believed, they'll be right for 2 weeks. Apple won't be losing any sleep based on their current sales figures. People will wait a week or two for their latest 'magical' device:)

I know - I mean, it's a basis for hoping that the wait won't be any longer than two weeks.

Anything to hold on to, you know? ;)

My 3G with iOS 4.0 is *so* sluggish. My iPad speed has spoiled me. want. new. phone. now:)

Wouldn't that be something! Bring it on!

I feel the same was with my 3GS - can't run iMovie, can still see pixels on the New York Times website, gets universally awesome reception - I can't stand it! ;)

3GS 32 gig went several weeks ago (very shortly after the iPhone 4 announcement).

I'm guessing they'd been depleting stocks quietly for a few weeks prior to the announcement and the announcement then slowed sales so much they got stuck with more 16 gig units of the 3Gs. Just my thought:)

Interesting to note that vodafone also have no stock of the 16gb or 32gb on their website. Mobile Phones - Browse, Compare and Buy - Vodafone Online Store (http://store.vodafone.com.au/mobile-phones.aspx?caps=99.0000&Brand=Apple%C2%AE%20iPhone%E2%84%A2)
