I use mac os x tiger and i turned on the remote desktop feature from the sharing window.

Now i want to be enable to view my screen over my network on a windows machine in real time. I currently use Tight VNC viewer, its good, but not as fast as a want it. A LAN network runs at 100mb per second, i don't know why i would lag, any clues?

i have always had a little lag - i noticed a huge difference between having a 128k upload and 256k upload then really nothing between 256k and my gigabit internal lan.... so based on that i would think that it is just a limitation on how fast the computer can crunch thur the compression, encoding etc and then transmit for you.

I dont know if you were expecting it to be very close to real speed - i have never had the pleasure of that. :(

VNC is a protocol and all VNC software on all platforms should have some degree of cross-compatability.

yeah i use that too...

but i havn't found any VNC which supports audio.

btw, you know how you can have two displays on a mac, is it possible to have the second screen streamed to another computer over VNC?
