If you've got any sort of gadget-related pulse, you want an iPhone4 and going by the crazy level of preorders in the US & UK, you want to get in really early! All the telcos have announced "register your interest" pages on their sites, so if you do want an iPhone4 as soon as possible, you better put your name down, so that if the telcos do pre-orders, they may limit pre-orders only to those who have "registered their interest".

Select your telco and tell them you want an iPhone4!

Thank you so much. Not sure how much longer my 3G will last now that I've busted the screen.

Edit: Telstra.

The 3 and Vodafone ones have been up for at least a week. The Telstra one a few days. The Optus one was only in the past day.... I've registered interest in all but Optus...

I registered with Optus. What can I say....their network has gotten marginally better over the last year, and is bound to improve a bit more when everyone comes out of contract and jumps ship (in theory).

I agree. I've never had a problem with Optus, but in saying that I am also 99% sure to switch to Vodafone this time. I prefer Red to Yellow. :) seriously, I like their plans/caps now.

After July 14 is an awfully big barn door target to hit! :)

I've registered on all of them. Still undecided about which carrier to go with. Bring on the plans!

Will Apple be selling these unlocked from the Apple website? I'd rather pay outright and go pre paid on my own terms.

They haven't confirmed it for the iPhone 4, but I believe they will be (that's how I'll be buying).

Registered with Optus & Vodafone yesterday. Depending on who offers the better plan will determine which way I go.

I registered my interest with voda about a week ago, then this happened;

Got a call from Voda yesterday about my expiring contract.
I said I wanted the new iPhone, she said she'd put my name down and call me early July with plans and details quote to "offer me the best deal"

Now we play the waiting game.

How has Virgin been for iPhone? Just like Optus, only better?

I spoke with some store staff and they were just hoping they get the plans before the internet did. I registered my interest on the website, but didn't get any kind of acknowledgement, so I hope their systems are functional.

yea.. usually there's no acknowledgement to re-assure us. it applies to all telcos.

this just shows u how courteous they r n their actual intentions of getting your contacts - pre-registration is just a nice way of obtaining statistics for their economic decisions.

u may only here from them much later; some up until the day prior to official launch day, whenever that is.

Virgin's Optus so it should be the same. If anything it would be slower because the deals are better, but I don't think that's the case.
