I was just reading how some one is using the Ipad to do the banking. How secure is this regarding viruses and hackers? What do you all think?

It's more secure that whatever computer you've got sitting on your desk, I can tell you that much. Provided you're not using some stranger's unencrypted WiFi of course.

It's secure from malware that might affect your average computer. It's not secure from phishing attacks - no device is.

It's up to you to be vigilant that you don't ever click bank related emails from your email and type out the address yourself when logging in (or double check and look for the green titlebar/padlock symbol up the top of Mobile Safari).

Unless you jailbreak your iPad, there are no keyloggers, no malware, and its very hard for something to hijack your browser and direct you to a fake website (On someone elses WiFi)

However your password is kinda revealed if someone is over your shoulder or something
