This year's WWDC has been partly spoiled by the chaps at Gizmodo, Engadget and our Chinese and Vietnamese cousins - however, it's still gonna have new information we didn't know before, so if you're going to be up at 3AM reading the various liveblogs around the place (Endgadget, Arstechnica, etc), let us be your night time companion for that cold, lonely, nerd filled night.

The guys from <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/can-touch-this/" target="_blank">Can Touch This</a> will be streaming live audio commentary direct from the <a href="http://www.3wbc.org.au" target="_blank">3WBC</a> studios (thanks Phil!) in Box Hill. If you're in the eastern suburbs or inner-Melbourne, you can listen on 94.1FM. If you're out of range or don't own an FM radio, you can listen on the net. We're still sorting out the server details, so look back here for the address.
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.3wbc.org.au"><img class="size-full wp-image-7296 aligncenter" title="3wbc" src="http://www.mactalk.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/3wbc.jpg" alt="" width="250" height="119" /></a></p>
Even though I will be in San Francisco for WWDC, there won't be a live text blog of the event, just the companion audio stream.
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><strong>Live broadcast starts approx 2:30AM, Tuesday 8th of June (AEST)</strong></h2>
<p style="text-align: left;">Also keep an eye out for the MacTalk podcast recorded in San Francisco, which will be uploaded on Thursday. Follow <a href="http://twitter.com/mactalk" target="_blank">@mactalk on Twitter</a> for live updates from San Francisco before, during and after WWDC.</p>

Is the live broadcast likely to be recorded as a podcast as well? Like what you have done for past WWDC keynotes.

has the server for the stream been sorted?

Sure has.

Decryption will post the proper details as we get closer.

Remember that I will be on air from midnight tonight (EST) playing some tunes before hand and talking random crap before the main broadcast begins at 2:30am.

yeah but when I looked into it, the full station list doesn't mention 3WBC and I thought Phillo may have an alternative seeing as he is the one hosting it.

I can find it on the tunein radio app, although I'm guessing another server is going to be used in case of higher than usual demand

once the stream address is added to the blog post you can manually add it to listen to it.

alternatively try adding Tech Talk Radio (http://www.techtalkradio.com.au/ttr3stream.asx) to allradio or similar

There will be a shoutcast stream so you shouldnt have any problem listening to it.

As soon as I get on air tonight I will post the link to the stream here and as mentioned before, Decryption will post a link on the homepage.

If you get really desperate, you can listen to the stream on the 3WBC homepage using VLC (or equivalent) and I have listened to it using FStream on the iphone.

The way I got into the stream was by entering this URL:

http://www.drw.net.au:8000/listen.pls - The shoutcast stream. It should work in safari on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
