Hello, I have a new 13" MBP and I want to put a HDD in it for storage, it already has a SSD in it. Can I use any 2.5 HDD or does it have to be a specific one? Thanks

Yep, any SATA drive will work, as long as the drive isn't more than 9mm (or 9.5mm, I can never remember) tall you should be fine. Some of the newer ones are 12mm thick, like the 1TB Western Digital ones, these wont fit.

I have a 2010 13" MBP and have just put in a 1TB Western Digital hard drive with no problems. It is a 12.5mm drive and there is plenty of clearance.

Its pre unibody that had the 9.5mm constraint.

Really? I will have to bear that in mind when 320GB becomes too small for my needs. Thanks for that info :)
