Have a Canon LBP 5200 which is causing grief.
To put it simply ... it refuses to print because of errors:o

I just get the error ....
/System/Library/Printers/Libraries/PrintJobMgr/Contents/MacOS/PrintJobMgr failed
printer-state-reasons=none
PlugIn Path: /Library/ColorSync/CMMs/ColorGearCMM.cmm/Contents/MacOS/ColorGearCMM
PlugIn Identifier: jp.co.canon.ColorGearCMM
PlugIn Version: ColorGearCMM 2.27 (2.2.7)

I have removed all reference to Canon from the system that I can think of

Library > Printers > Canon
User > Library > Printers

I downloaded the update from Apple here (http://support.apple.com/downloads/#macosx106) which I have now discovered relates to this list (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP)
The Canon LBP 5200 is not on that list.

I visited Canon and downloaded the drivers from here (http://support-au.canon.com.au/P/search?model=LASER%20SHOT%20LBP5200&filter=0&menu=Download) don't work either

Decided I'd search the UK Canon site which is usually more up to date and found this (http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Product_Finder/Printers/Laser/Laser_Shot_LBP5200/index.asp) same outcome

Ok so is this a Canon issue or a Mac issue?
How do I tell?
What's the process for trouble shooting the print system?

Hope I've provided enough info

Discovery not resolution. :confused1:

Canon are not providing any driver updates for the LBP series after V 10.6.2

If you wish to keep your LBP Printer then don't upgrade to OS X 10.6.3

Spent an hour on the phone to Canon and also told they will not supply any generic alternative either.

The resolution is to sell a perfectly good printer or not upgrade the OS while you own/use this printer.

Not too happy I can tell you.
