I have a 2 week old (new but not the very latest) Macbook Pro 13", 500GB HD, 8GB RAM running MacOS and Win7 in Parallels. Am using time machine and time capsule wireless backup. When time machine backups start the mouse cursor jumps around on the screen - when using both MacOS and in Parallels. Am using a Microsoft USB mouse. When usb mouse disconnected there is no problem. Any ideas? Driver problem? Problem in Parallels?

Does it happen when parralels isn't running?

Yes - whenever Time Machine is actively backing up, whether Parallels is running or not. It's a MS cordless USB mouse.

I was thinking of possible RF interference but thought the MS mouse and airport channels are very different

replaced the MS mouse with an Apple magic mouse - no more cursor jumping ! Problem solved by hardware replacement.
