In honour of Opera's 10th birthday, Opera is giving away registration codes to its browser for free.

For one day only, you can get an ad-free version of Opera. Simply e-mail registerme@opera.com to obtain a registration code. This offer is valid from 12 a.m. Tuesday, August 30 to 12 a.m. Wednesday, August 31 2005 (PDT).

i registered and downloaded it. why not.

should be good to see what they have to offer. not that i can really see anyone wanting to pay for a web browser, since there are other free ones that are just as good, if not better.

I grabbed a copy but just so I don't get ads at work when is do website dev work (checking in various browsers).

Same here. This a great loyalty reward for developers who have been testing in adware-Opera for years to make sure their pages are Opera compatible.

Yeah me too, I only want it for browser testing purposes. I sent my reg request last night but haven't received my code :( Anyone got their's yet??!!

You don't get send anything. A page opens (a pop up from memory) and have codes for each platform they support.

Copy and paste them all into a text document, save it somewhere on your hdd. :)

I read about this offer previously (on another site) and they didn't provide those reg links, so I just emailed that address hopelessly waiting.

Now i look forward to trying Opera when I get home :)
