Hi all ive just moved to mac and im looking for the following software solutions:

FTP client (prefer freeware)
Audio mixing software.. do you no of any good ones that are reasonably priced ?


I would like to get a copy of soundtrack pro... does anyone know where i can buy second hand mac software ?

You might be able to FTP direct from the Finder: "Connect to server..." under the "Go" menu (or command-K)

Transmit rocks for FTP. But if you don't want to pay the very reasonable price - Cyberduck is cool :)

Cyberduck works and is easy and free. I have never used a FTP before and I was able to upload a simple website within 3 min. It was that easy and works every time for me.

GarageBand should be fine for basic mixing jobs.

Agree with Transmit (it's very reasonably priced and damn good!), and GarageBand (should be fine until you're ready for ProTools/Logic/Soundtrack/Live/whatever). GarageBand should already be installed on your mac.
