If anyone was looking for a stylus for their iPad, might be worth the $1.50 to try these out. I used them a while ago on my iPhone and they actually work, but not needing them really I gave them away. Might be more of a demand for them on iPad so thought I'd share it with anyone looking.

Also found a pair of screen protectors and a not bad looking sleeve which all up for the three items cost me about $15 including postage. Considering I wasn't going to buy any accessories really as I'm not much of a screen protector or case fan, I couldn't pass up the bargain to have them lying around if need be. Gotta love eBay.

Just bought a stylus by Enki Sentry (http://www.enki.me). It doubles as a sim eject tool on the opposite side. Also came with 2 screen protectors (not that I'll use it).

Just tested it on the iPad. Works ok and will help keep fingerprints off.

Its not something that I plan to use all the time though and overall not a bad device. $15 from Officeworks.

I just got two of these stylus in the mail today, they are pretty hopeless if you have a screen protector on your iPhone/iPad. I found that I had to really push with the stylus... much easier to use a finger.

Of course. It's designed to be used with your fingers. I've used the styluses I bought maybe three times lol. Oh well, $1.50, who cares.

I'm all about the Pogo Sketch (http://tenonedesign.com/sketch.php). I couldn't justify the cost with the iPhone, because I only had one app I would consider it useful with, Brushes. Now I've bought Brushes and Penultimate for iPad and it will be fantastic with these. I bought mine for $20 AU on eBay, shipped from the US.

Just bought the Pogo Sketch from a US Ebay store. AU$19.98 delivered to Melbourne.

Probably the same EBay store as you Japester

I bought one to test out on my iPod Touch. Was really disappointed actually. Though perhaps it works better on an iPad.

I think really I'm going to be stuck waiting for someone to make a deal with wacom to offer the kind of tablet device I really want.

Just received a pack of 5 from HK via eBay.
They don't work - at all - on iPad or iPhone
Cheap, so that's not so bad. I suspect they are just a rip off copy of a "proper" stylus

Will go for a pogo and try that

I'm still waiting for my Pogo Sketch to be delivered from the US. I'm really looking forward to using it in Penultimate, which is a lovely app but writing with my fat finger makes my penmanship look bad!

Just notices that the Penultimate app now lets you write with you hand on the pad (naturally) and it doesn't leave marks from the pressure from your hand.

I really like it. It's good for more than drawing. I use it with We Rule and Godfinger. Any app that requires precision benefits from it.

Any chance of a review, Japester?

Any chance of a review, Japester?

There's not much to review, but here it is.

It's a bit shorter and thinner than a normal pen. The aluminium body feels sturdy and is a good match for the iPad back. The soft plastic packaging got a little crinkled in transit and the nib is a little bent but works fine. I don't know how long it will last.

It enhances drawing apps like Penultimate and Brushes, as it's simply more natural than using your finger for this activity.

I use it to play We Rule, Godfinger, Moonlight Mahjong and even Sam & Max! It's good for links on web pages that are small. You don't have to zoom.

All in all, I'm using it a lot more than i expected to. Good to have.

What does it feel like to use? A lot of the reviews for iPhone/iPad stylus products keep saying that you have to press quite firmly and that it doesnt feel as easy as just using your fingertip.

I guess for myself, im also coming from the perspective of being a frequent user of a Wacom Intuous, and I'd kinda like some way to effectively sketch on the iPad using proper, natural strokes rather than having to press hard and move slowly.

I've not used a graphics tablet.

It's responsive. You don't have to use force nor move slowly. I probably use as much force as with my finger, which is little. I do find it like a pen, pencil or brush when drawing, surprisingly realistic.

Swell, sounds perfect. :) But i think ill give it a few weeks and see if they come out with anything new.

I forgot to mention that it seems to require a bit more force or cajoling to work on the iPhone. Don't know why that is.

How is it for writing in something like penultimate etc?

It'd great for Penultimate and makes more sense than using your finger. Enhances any drawing, sketching or painting app.

Great find - where to get conductive foam? will chase that done.
Then imagine using an old fountain pen case!

If all other sources fail, you can get conductive foam on e-bay I recently purchased some that way so that I can repair my Pogo Sketch when the pad of foam on it becomes too soft for comfort.
I use the Pogo Sketch with Note Taker HD as I prefer to take hand written notes in meeting rather than type less distracting to those around once they get over asking questions about the iPad.

As for Note Taker HD, great app, lots of short falls around organising the written pages, but I feel sure its only time before they rectify this.
