purchased my unibody macbook 13" in March 2009 and as of recently, am having some problems with the left clicking of the trackpad.

the left click does not register at all unless i apply a hard enough pressure on it. i.e. it looks like it's losing its sensitivity or something.

i only need to make sure i hear the 'clicking' noise for the right click to work.
And tapping, and everything else works fine as well.

so any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have the same machine from Oct 2008 which is starting to do the same thing. I've got AppleCare so was intending to drop it off for repair when I get a chance.

If you have the Alu macbook where the battery is still easily removable - you have easy access to what I guess is a sort of tension screw.

If you remove the battery, you will spot a little screw under the trackpad that has a "3-pointed star" indentation (looks like a mutated/malformed phillips head).

Making very small (like 1/8 to 1/4 of a full turn) adjustments changes the responsivity of the track pad.

There are some better description of this if you google around.

Its nice to be able to tweak the "clickiness" of the trackpad.
