Hi, i bought my first macbook around 10 months ago and i am loving it. but i just started taking it to uni and i saw that battery life is very less than what it should have been. The advertised is 7 hrs but i expected around 5 hrs or atleast 4 hrs with normal usage.

My mbp is 70% of the time is connected with the power source. ( Is this ok to do so ? )

Below are the screenshots i took about the battery. Please advise me if i should book an appointment with apple genuis before the one year apple care is over. i dont intend to spend 400 for apple care.

currently i have turned on wifi and bluetooth and i am draining the battery to do calibrating to see any difference..

193 cycles in 10 months is nice work, as for only 1:48 remaining, it depends on thay your doing. I can make my MBP say 2 hours or less (with a fully charged battery) if I max out the CPU doing and encode or something.

What were you doing at the time?

I was not doing anything at all. Just browsing with firefox, chrome open and itunes in the background.

the brightness was full and wifi bluetooth turned on. and exactly after under 2 hrs .. its ging to die in few mins..
