View Full Version : Win Media Player (wma Streams From Internet)

I listen to some internet radio stations that send their audio out using wma/Windows Media Player. This worked just fine - but after a Tiger reinstall I end up with wma or asf files on my desktop. Its no big deal but WMP does not start until I click on these files (previously would start spontaneously) - also I get tired of deleting these files from Desktop.

Any suggestions to fix this glitch?

EDIT

Yes did archive install - but have deleted all those files now. ;-(

Did you do an archive install?
This is the reason I always use archive and install as the method.
There are some that would say it only carries over old problems and yes you may unintentionally reinstall files that you should have left un-installed.
However, in the case of apps that may have files in application support etc.(which is not really such a good idea), Browsing the files kept in the archived previous Systems folder may assist in the repair of such things.
Otherwise it is likely that you may need to reinstall the app or in many cases, go get the latest issue updated for Tiger.
