How do I connect my camera to the iPad?
Can I download my Canon RAW files to it?
Is it using iPhoto to download images?
If not what is it using?
Can I manipulate images?

How do I connect my camera to the iPad? Third party accessory?
Can I download my Canon RAW files to it? Maybe. See above.
Is it using iPhoto to download images? Probably iTunes accessing iPhoto library like for an iPhone
If not what is it using? See above.
Can I manipulate images? Probably. Using an app. There's quite a few for image manipulation on the iPhone.

These are all just guesses, though.

There's a USB adapter and a SD card reader adapter as well.

Can I download my Canon RAW files to it?
Well if it's just to store them I am sure it should work. But for viewing then there could be an app for that. I've yet to see one, but I haven't really looked.

Is it using iPhoto to download images?
If not what is it using? Yes, It's a version of iPhoto. It can even do places, faces and events and imports the photos metadata.

Can I manipulate images? There's a app for that. Or in this case lots of apps for that.
