So I was bored waiting for the next train after yet another cancellation and I opened up "Around Me" for the first time in ages.

At the bottom om the screen (where you often see ads in ad supported apps) there's a little grey instruction to rotate the iPhone to landscape
mode for augmented reality. This opens your camera, and uses the compass to show you nearby matches to your search. As you turn around the image shows labels of local businesses on the live screen.

Pretty cool

I find such applications not capable of pointing to the correct direction accurately enough no matter how many times I do the 8 shape recalibration. My pUniverse for example, shows me the location of the planets 45 degrees off the actual direction. (I make sure the screen is directly facing my face already)

You guys have similar issues with the compass accuracy?
