Hi there
I am a recent MAC convert, having purchased a15 inch MBP running 10.6.1 in November. I have an issue in that the 'Services" menu is not working for me in any application. All I see is a shaded notation "No services apply". This is happening in all the standard Mac OS applications as well as others I have since loaded.

Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong here and how i can release the appropriate services?

This is actually one of Snow Leopard's (Apple's latest operating system) improvements. Services now only appear in the applications in which they apply.

Click on any file or folder and then go to services. The available options automatically show up now.

What bugs be in SL is that they took out the "speak text" service and put it in context menu....although I'm starting to see Apple do this more and more with services that 80% of people wouldn't use.
