I had an application, but the life of me I can't remember what I had...

Basically something that will max out both cores that I can turn on and off as needed so I can run through the battery for calibration.

I had an application that basically let me pick the number of cores, then go nuts. So what's available??

Use Terminal:

yes >/dev/null &

Do this again in another window for however many cores you have.

That will work nicely ;)

Thanks.

Was the app called Pow (http://www.powyourface.com/)? It seems to do what you want. I came across it in Bodega a while ago but never found a good use for it.

Muahahahha. So so true.

Back on topic, if you want to take a more hands-on approach, load up movies on iTunes, VLC & DVD Player while streaming several YouTube HD clips over wireless at full brightness. Crunch something along the side, like compressing audio and/or video...

Doesn't sound like much, but my MBP doesn't like it.
