I have been using WMP 9 with no problems until recently. When I open WMV and ASF files which I have veiwed with WMP before, it now tells me that the codecs are not supported.

I have trashed and re-installed WMP with no success. Where are the WMP codecs stored and how do I check which version I have.

Yeah, Ive got WMP 9.0 for mac but the version of audio codec appears to be 9.1

Reading the net it seems that 9.1 is for WMP 10.0. Where are the audio codecs stored for WMP in OSX? That way I can replace the codec with the correct version ,by re-installing WMP it keeps reffering back to the wrong codec because it is a newer version??????

Have *these exact* files ever worked in the past?

WMP for Mac can't play WMV3-codec video if it's saved as an ASF, for instance (it's craziness, I swear).

Look at Flip4Mac's excellent QuickTime plugins.
