i'm curious if the ports on the basic 109 keyboard has a copyright 2003 on it, is usb 2.0 or is it something lower. i've just bought a apple ipod 60 gig (lucky me) and currently only have one port left...

yes / no?

no they are 1.1, sorry if that isnt the answer you were looking for. :)

if you are looking for a usb for your ipod, just use the firewire :)

i was rather disappointed to see the option of firewire not available when i bought my ipod 60gig today. but ... maybe i'll spend the extra cash and get the firewire cable and charger...

my list of goodies is almost complete;
canon eos 300D
ibook g4 1.2 ghz 12inch
ipod 60 gig
sennheiser open ear head phones

...

the next big buy a scooter!

that's one the two major problems with usb. It's "unmanaged". So not only does it put all load onto the CPU whereas firewire has dedicated chips. But it also means, every device on the same bus is restricted to the slowest of connected devices (the keyboard in your case).

No, they'll probably ship an iPod without even the box before they do that. :P
