I have an old imac with OSX 10.3.9 with 800 Hz processor and I cant run any telco's wireless broadband packages so I am looking any version of OSX 10.4.
I cant install OSX 10.5 due to my slow processor speed.
Anybody know where I can get this old OSX 10.4 ?

Is that one of the iMac Flat Panel models, with a Dome base?

I guess you could try eBay. Or I could adopt you, so you can take a slice of my Tiger family pack ;)

Cheers

At the moment, there are a couple of copies of Tiger on eBay running for over $100. I have a copy here I'm willing to sell you for $90 + $10 postage.

Let me know if you're interested.

I'm away for the next few days but email me if interested - dparker66@me.com

From what he's saying I'd say it is.

I'm also keen on acquiring a copy of 10.4

If it's an iMac flat panel lampshade 800 it can run Leopard successfully. Maybe Leopard disks are available?

I've been doing it since not long after the 10.5 release. Use "leopardassist" as per this link:

Download LeopardAssist for Mac - Install Leopard on some unsupported Macs. MacUpdate Mac System Software Downloads (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/26562).

There are other methods such as connecting the system in target mode via firewire to a complying mac and installing that way.

No Snow Leopard though - needs an intel processor.

Yes it is the flat panel, dome base. Thanks Steffen but if you met me you may not wish to adopt me. And cotcase-many thanks, I have a Leopard OS disc so I'll give the "leopard assist" a shot.
