View Full Version : Powerbook Waking From Sleep

I'm having some problems with my PB1.67 (OS 10.4.2) waking from sleep.
When i leave the computer on, lid open, it sleeps after a while no problems with that, however, when it wakes up there's some strange behaviour.

The mouse moves - i can see the cursor clearly, backlight is on, sound bleeps when volume is changed, just the screen is completely black except for the cursor. It's extremely frustrating as i have to hold down the power button to shut the thing down and reset it.

Anyone else suffering from this? or better yet know a solution?

Also suffering from this, PB15" 1.5GHz, 1GB, ATI9700/128, OS 10.4.2.

Another (related?) problem is the machine asking fo rthe password twice on wakeup. Enter password, machine goes to desktop, immedeatly goes back to asking for password.

Sorry, no solution. Have you filed a bug with Apple?

I get the double login error when waking from sleep. I used to get the black sleep screen but only when it was sleeping with the screen up. The black screen problem seems to have disappeared with Tiger, but the double login problem only appeared after installing Tiger!
