View Full Version : Any news of Final Cut Express 5 on the way?

First off - is the release of a new Final Cut Pro/Studio at all related to the release of Final cut express?

I know that Final Cut Express 4 has been out a while now. I'm keen to get it but don't want have FCE 5 come out just after I purchase.

Can anyone remember if FCE 4 came out around the Final Cut Pro 6 release?

im pretty sure that FCE4 was the express 'companion' of FCP6 ... it is strange there isn't a new FCE yet ... probably coming soon? possibly, who knows.

FCE 5 probably like FCS3 will be Intel-only.

Maybe they have no intention at all in bringing out a new FCE anytime soon. I would have thought it would co-incide with FCP7 release.
