Just wondering if anyone knows if FCE4 and Adobe After Effects work together (and easily)?

Been doing alot of home movie editing and as always I want something better than I have so therefore thinking about upgrading from iMovie09 to FCE4 and also getting After Effects.

Any thoughts / comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

I remember going to an Apple Roadshow some years ago concerning FCP, and was told that FCP then had about 60% of AE's features built-in.

If you buy FCP Suite you also get Motion 4, (http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/motion/) which is generally easier to use than AE.

Perhaps try some demos first? And check hardware requirements (especially video card) before taking the plunge.

You might find FCE (http://store.apple.com/au/product/MB278Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOA&mco=MTA4MjgwODY&p=1&s=topSellers) and an older version of Motion an affordable and useable combo.

BTW, I have used AE for years and love it, but Motion is more approachable.Whoops! Misread your post a bit. Still suggest getting a version of Motion if you can find it.
