Geektools Command Question

Hey, I've started using geektools and I'm completely new to the language used in it (bash? unix? I have no idea what its called :P ). Anyway I'm looking for something which can output a date like:

06/10/09

I know how to get the day and year, but the month eludes me, so far I can only get it to display in words (ie. October instead of 10).

Can anyone help me out?

That should do it.

you can do "man command"

where "command" is the command you'd like to learn more about

eg:

man date

or

man ps

gives you a bit of a description with some example syntax.. "q" exits man.
