Hi guys,

Now I know there are loads of smart people on here so I thought I would ask you!

Is there a program that is a calendar but also works as your desktop background? Then as you change/add dates they automatically change your desktop picture?

Hoping to find something like that, :)

Kerri

Yeah I tried that but it's just a line, I would like something that looks like iCal with all the appointments showing and things,

at the moment I am printing my ical to pdf then changing that to a jpeg and using that as my desktop background,

I was hoping there was something that would do that and update automatically when I change things in my ical?

iDeskcal

HashBang Industries (http://www.hashbangind.com/)

Costs about $12 and does exactly what you want. They have a trial so you can test it first. Also allows you to select your tasks and which calendars you want published.

I instantly thought of your Desktop Picture (http://forums.mactalk.com.au/872187-post106.html) yangankiely, I'm sure you had a calendar that seemed to be a part of your Desktop?

^^ No I've only used DateLine actually.

There's also GossTech Products > Eon (http://www.gosstech.ca/products/eon/) I haven't used it (and only found it looking for DateLine) but I think you can try that too.

Same with iCalViewer home page | Mac iCal calendar events and to do's on your desktop (http://www.icalviewer.com/)

Embed iCal Calendars on Your Desktop as Text - Applescript - Lifehacker (http://lifehacker.com/395425/embed-ical-calendars-on-your-desktop-as-text) with GeekTool

Display iCal Events and a To Do list on your desktop | iCal, Terminal, System Prefs. | Mac OS X Tips (http://www.macosxtips.co.uk/index_files/display-ical-events-to-do-list-on-desktop.html) another way with GeekTool

There was an article in the Green Guide this week in the Age about macro software - maybe you could use macro software to take a screen shot and use the shot as a desktop image? Just a thought...
