So Palm has changed back to Palm Inc. with a terrible new logo http://www.palm.com/intl/images/wrapper/logo_palm_footer.gif

So now I think it's Palm Inc. formerly known as PalmOne Inc. formerly known as Palm Inc.

I hope they don't use that logo on any handhelds! Ugh!

Edit: here's the article from Australian IT (http://australianit.news.com.au/articles/0,7204,15936754%5E15306%5E%5Enbv%5E,00.html)

PalmOne back to Palm again
HANDHELD computer maker palmOne has changed its name to Palm, reverting to the brand name it went by before it split its hardware and software operations into separate public companies.

The company, which makes personal digital assistants (PDAs) will trade on Nasdaq under the symbol "PALM". As palmOne, it had traded under the ticker symbol "PLMO."
The change comes after palmOne in May acquired the sole rights to the name Palm from PalmSource, which supplies the operating system software that powers "Palm" handheld devices and Treo smartphones. The companies had co-owned the name since they separated in October 2003.

Palm also said that it has relocated its headquarters to Sunnyvale, California, from Milpitas, California.

In the late 1990's and early 2000's, demand for Palms soared as consumers snapped up the digital devices, which hold thousands of phone numbers, appointments and personal memos in one pocket-sized gadget.

Interest has cooled significantly in recent years as those features eventually found their way into other small gadgets, like mobile phones and electronic messaging devices.

The Nintendo DS promotional slogan is “Touching is Good”.

Palm’s could be “Palming is Good”.

Palm is on the way down. Palm is equivalent to Apple without Steve Jobs. IMHO.
