g'day,

I have been trying to set people up at work on iCal so they can share their calendars. My goal was when they update their calendar, it automatically publishes the update and people subscribing to that calendar are automatically updating too.

However, havind tried doing it on local Snap servers and also a private ftp server on the internet, when I use another computer to subscribes to it I get the error message &#39;Data downloaded from <address>/mike.ics is not valid.&#39;

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Mike

have you tried http://www.icalx.com/ ? Free hosting and publishing of icalendars and it seems to work well for us.

If you are not already, try using the prefix webcal:// instead of http:// when subscribing
I&#39;ve seen http:// return that error.

Good luck.

Thanks Woody, Does http://www.icalx.com/ have passwords? Some of the calendars are confidential.

Would it be better if I invested in OSX Server? Can you publish iCal calendars to OSX Server and subscribe locally? Sorry I tried looking through the info on Apple&#39;s website but came up with nothing.

icalx provides one free password per account which is the same as your login password
extra passwords are charged at US&#036;1 per month-a pretty cheap option.
I guess there is nothing stopping you form creating multiple accounts but I haven&#39;t tried it.
Sorry, no idea about OSX server but I&#39;m sure there is a way.
