View Full Version : iTunes Visualizer as Desktop Background

Today I accidentally turned on the iTunes visualizer and realized how cool it would be to have as a desktop background.
Is there some way that through Save Hollywood or a similar plugin that I could make this work?

If you could make it your 'mac screensaver' you can get it to your background

There is a app floating around that lets you but your os x screensaver as your desktop background, so that might be one way to approach it.

Flurry is pretty cool, a matrix screensaver on your desktop is leet

An interesting question... but the visualizer requires music to play, because it reacts to it. If you can find a QuickTime movie of the iTunes Visualizer somehow (a quick Google search didn't find anything for me), you could drag it into Save Hollywood (http://s.sudre.free.fr/Software/SaveHollywood.html), then activate it in Wallsaver (http://www.wallsaverapp.com/) or similar.

Update: Searched Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/videos/search:itunes%20visualizer) for "iTunes Visualizer" and found a bunch of great MP4 videos that can be downloaded then added to Save Hollywood. Solved! :)

I currently have something that looks fairly similar to an iTunes visualizer running (the 'shell' screensaver)
The music reaction is actually the reason I wanted to use it
