Hey Guys,

My day to day browser is Firefox, but I would much prefer to be using Safari, overall i find it operates smoother and faster.

The reason I have yet to change to Safari, is a feature in Firefox that I use heavily.

I like to be able to hold the Apple Key and hit 1,2,3 etc to switch to the relevant tab. In safari if i do this, it loads the relevant bookmark instead.

Does anyone know how I'd make safari switch between tabs using this?

I'm using Safari 4.0.2

Cheers,
Mallo

Shift + Command + [ or ] (left or right respectively)
Not sure if you can re-map the shortcut or not, never looked…

The only prob with this method, is that i can't go directly to the tab I want, if i have 9 tabs open, its 9 hits i have to press of the left key... etc

Good point, never thought of that :D

I generally don't have all that many tabs open at any one time so it doesn't bother me (which of course doesn't help you either…)

if you're on the 1st tab, and you have 9 open, it's one press of the right key. navigating tabs in safari is continuous.
