Hi

I am very new to Mac and would like to know the installation procedure for dual-boot of 10.1 & 9.2.

Thanks

Andy

Install 9.2. Install 10.1. They can be on the same partition or hard disk. Then it'll be dual boot.

Is there a reason you will only run 10.1? A great many applications wont run on a system that old. What machine + memory + HD do you have?

Hi

I've just got a G3/300 (180M RAM) from ebay and want to have a go. Tried "install 9.2 and then 10.1" but didn't work as the mac said it needed to do a "clean full install of 10.1". Today, I've just tried to cut 2 partitions in the 6G HD but 9.2 didn't install after installation of 10.1. Yes, 10.1 is rubbish as I couldn't even install a 10.1.1 update without any known reasons. I also tried to install 10.1 and then install XPostFacto but didn't know how to decompress that sitx file (??) . I do have a 10.3 OS CD.

Cheers,

Andy

I'd definitely try with 10.3.

Hi

It is a beign G3/300 and 10.3 cannot be installed unless I manage to install "Xpsotfacto".
