Hi.

I'm looking to upgrade the RAM in my wife's 366mhz clamshell ibook (firewire).

2 questions:
Where would people recommend to buy it?

Can I only use PC66 144pin SO-DIMM ram or can I use PC100 144pin SO-DIMM?

Only reason I ask is becasue I know with SDRAM you can use 100mhz RAM instead of 66mhz and it will only operate at 66mhz....but its cheaper.

Thanks

Chris

PC100 will work fine, just like how you can use PC100 on a mobo designed for PC66 in a desktop machine.

Streetwise (http://www.streetwise.net.au) have some good prices for RAM, $89 for 256MB and $195 for 512MB.

I've bought some there for my clamshell - it's Amicroe brand, lifetime warranty. The PC133 RAM works fine in the Clamshells and is suitable if you need to pull it later and put it in another notebook.

512MB is the limit for the Clamshell's single RAM slot - some Apple docs say 256MB but this was when 512 modules did not exist :)
