Hi,

I have a heap of TV episodes in a variety of formats taking up heaps of space on my HD, I want to burn them to a DVD or VCD so that I can watch them on my DVD player / TV. Is there any way to do this?

What Apps should I get?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Convert your video files to mpeg in ffmpegx then use sizzle to create a dvd disk image, which you can burn from Disk Utility/Patchburn/Toast.

How about the lazy way- and I confess to settling for this. It turned out to be just "too hard" to burnd DVDs from downloaded torrents, LimeWire, etc so..... I gave in and changed them all to mpg4 files with ffmpeg then dragged a heap of them to a blankDVD disk then burned the disk.
When I want to watch them I have the computer hooked up to the tv, insert the DVD, select a file and use either Quicktime or MPlayerOSx or VLC to play the file.
Another easy way to store the files is hook up an iPod and simply copy them all across to it. Because it is a firewire connection the copying is VERY fast.
